Travel Currency Converter
Convert a travel planning amount with a dated reference exchange rate and keep card, ATM and foreign transaction fees separate.
Why can a card total differ from the currency converter?
The travel currency converter uses a dated reference exchange rate to create a consistent planning baseline. A bank, card, cash desk or ATM can apply a different conversion date, spread, foreign transaction fee or withdrawal charge, so the displayed result is not a promised payment total. Keep the returned rate date beside the number and add known fees separately in the trip budget. When a terminal offers to charge in the traveller’s home currency, compare that dynamic currency conversion total with a recent reference result and the card terms before accepting. For large bookings, confirm which currency the merchant will actually charge. If the reference service is unavailable, wait for a new dated result rather than treating an old value as current.
How to use this information
Frankfurter supplies the reference rate used on the page. High Ropes Adventure does not process the exchange, see card terms or receive the amount entered.
